You can develop an abundance mindset just like you develop confidence. Having an abundant mindset will help you give and receive love, opportunities, resources, better relationships, and more. It will also help you recover and bounce back from hard times because you know everything happens for a reason. Thinking in terms of abundance will encourage you to feel plentiful, creative, and inspired.

1. See the world as full of opportunities.
An abundance mindset allows you to see more in your life: more options, more choices, and more resources. Ask yourself, if you had all the time and money in the world and you knew you couldn’t fail, what would you be doing? Questions like that will help open your mind to what’s possible.
2. Have greater clarity and focus on your purpose.
Only when you know exactly what you want can you get it. Developing an abundant mindset creates clarity around your goals. It also gives you the confidence to achieve them. With clarity of purpose, you focus on the goal without wasting time or energy.
3. Surround yourself with people who have an abundance mentality.
As Tony Robbins says, “The quality of a person’s life is most often a direct reflection of the expectations of their peer group.” Ask yourself if you look up to the people with whom you spend time. If not, you may need to search for other people living the life you aspire to.
4. Focus on your unique strengths.
People with an abundance mentality look at what is working and what strengths they have. They concentrate on enhancing their strengths rather than trying to improve their weaknesses. Your mission is to become better today than you were yesterday. You do that by focusing on what you can do to improve and grow.
