Preparing for Our Call: What to Expect

If you’re anything like me, you may feel a bit hesitant when it comes to sales calls with vendors. Perhaps you were even reluctant in scheduling a discovery call with me. To help you feel a bit more comfortable about our call, I’ve prepared this quick guide to share what to expect.

What is the goal?

My goal is to get to know you and your business better to determine if we’ll be a good fit for a partnership. During our 1:1 video call, I’ll ask you a few questions and then guide you through the bookkeeping solution that best suits your needs and goals.

Why is the call recorded?

I don’t want to miss any details about you or your business, as I prefer to give you my full attention rather than scramble to take notes or risk overlooking key information. By recording the call, I can ensure that I capture everything accurately.

How long is the call?

Your appointment slot is set for 20 minutes. I’ve found that this timeframe is generally sufficient for most of my calls. However, I don’t want to rush you through the call. If we find that we need more time and both of us have availability, I’m more than happy to extend the call. Alternatively, if we need to reschedule to fully address your business requirements, we can discuss that during the initial call as well.

What if we’re not a good fit?

If either of us determines that my bookkeeping solutions aren’t the right fit for you and your business, I will do my best to guide you in the right direction. At the end of our call, I’ll follow up with any resources I believe will be helpful for you.

Please don’t feel bad about ending the call if you feel that I’m not the right person to assist you. It’s important for you to find a bookkeeping professional who aligns with your current business needs and future aspirations.

What next?

If both of us conclude the call wanting to move forward, the next step typically involves a diagnostic review. This review allows me to gain insight into your QuickBooks Online account, examining how you’re utilizing the software and identifying areas of strength and improvement. It enables me to provide you with a comprehensive proposal that encompasses the full range of services to optimize your business and bookkeeping practices.

I believe in transparent pricing. If you haven’t already, you can view my service offerings with pricing before our call, ensuring that we make the most of our time together. Please note that the displayed package pricing represents the starting rate for each level. The proposal you receive will be customized based on the scope of your business and the specific services needed to help you achieve your goals.
